Join Us For Our Climate Strategy Workshops

Directly shape the outcomes of the upcoming Comprehensive Climate Action Plan and attend one or all of our climate strategy workshops. Each will cover different topics relating to climate in Central New Mexico! The 6 meetings will stretch from April 30th to July 2nd. All of the meetings will be held virtually via Zoom. State of New Mexico’s Climate Action Plan Albuquerque Public Input Session
Thursday, March 27, 2025, 5:30-7:30, Barelas Community Center

Participants doubled their impact at the State of NM Albuquerque public input session at the Barelas Community Center. State staff and City of Albuquerque Staff were present to give updates on regional climate action planning at the State and Central New Mexico levels. 
Participants shared community values and priorities that will help shape the outcomes of the upcoming Comprehensive Climate Action Plans.

Virtual Kick-off Meeting, Wednesday,
January 15, 2025, 11-12:30 pm, and 4:30-6 pm

Community members joined project staff for our Virtual Kick-Off Meeting on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, to officially launch the public engagement phase of this exciting project! This inaugural meeting provided an overview of the project, highlighted our goals and objectives, and outlined the timeline along with opportunities for community involvement.

Climate Pollution Inventory Overview Meeting,
Friday, January 31, 2025, 11-12:30 pm

Government partners and the community joined project staff for our Climate Pollution Inventory Overview Meeting on Friday, January 31, 2025. This session explored the process of measuring climate pollution and shared key insights uncovered during the inventory. As a cornerstone of this project, the inventory will guide strategies and actions aimed at reducing climate pollution and supporting our community's goals for health, well-being, and safety.

Volunteer Orientation

Individuals from the City of Albuquerque’s OneABQ Volunteers program joined project staff to find out how they could help the Resilient Futures Initiative increase equitable outreach and resilience outcomes.
